Dear Tutor,
I have attempted P7 several times. I attempted only 3 out of 4 required questions and got 43%. ( 47% in June 2017 and 48% in September 2017). I wrote to the ACCA about migitating circumstances and they promised to look into it but it appears they have not. I did suffer an arm muscle strain during the exam and so had to stop several times to stretch and exercise before continuing. I also told them that on previous attempts I have always been able to attempt all the four questions.
Worst of all this was the exam attempt before losing previously passed papers which have now expired and rather than being left with just the one paper, I have to resit a total of 3.
I am shocked at the lack of understanding by ACCA and at the moment I am deeply depressed about the whole situation and I doubt whether I can put myself into further pressure

Did you support your claim for mitigating circumstances with a letter from your doctor?
January 22, 2018 at 3:46 pm #432112Dear Tutor
I replied saying that yes I submitted a letter from my doctor but I cannot see where this response has gone. Forgive me if you have already received it
January 22, 2018 at 4:03 pm #432118Well, if you actually did as you say (and I have no reason whatsoever to doubt you), then I can only suggest that the ACCA did in fact consider your application for clemency
Have you written back to ACCA and asked them the result of their deliberations? Try asking them what they, in fact, did to take into account your issues
But there’s nothing that I am able to do … whatever their response
Hope that helps but I’m not sure that it will have done
January 24, 2018 at 4:26 pm #432106Yes I sent a letter from the Doctor. However, after explaining to them that it was the Doctor’s policy to process the letter in 2 days and I had no means to have the letter before the ACCA deadline, they came back to me saying it was too late and they would not be proceeding any further with my case. I had explained to the Doctor the urgency of the letter but there was nothing the Doctor could do either to speed up the letter due to their policy and staffing problems.
January 24, 2018 at 4:54 pm #432698Then I’m very sorry to say that it looks like the end of your appeal for mitigation
Again, I’m sorry, but there’s nothing that I can do about it
