    Hi Mike,

I did F8 last December and just sat P1 (today:) ). I’d like to sit P7 this coming December because I did F8 recently and I’m in essay-writing mode. Plus I’d like to have it out the way.

Does it make sense as a strategy? Would I be missing important information from P2, P3 & P6 (I’ve done all the fundamentals)?

    Many thanks

P7 involves having a sound knowledge of IAS / IFRS

If you read the comments from yesterday’s P2 exam, it seems that the general consensus is that P2 is an exam on its own

Possibly the next one to take is P2 so then you’re set up to do P7 after that.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks Mike.

In that case, does it make sense to do advanced tax then Business Analysis first and then throw myself fully into the IAS / IFRS for P2 & P7 (in 2 sittings)?

I don’t think I’ll have enough time over the next 6 months to tackle P2 but I don’t want to stall either.

P6 and Business Analysis first? Yes, why not

Then study for P7 but, as part of that study, you should be reminding yourself of IAS / IFRS so then you’re primed ready for P2 6 months later

    Hope that helps
