Hi can someone give me advice on just how large the p6 syllabus is for June 16 exams and of its possible with home study whilst working to start revising now for June 16 exam?
is it possible to focus on some topics but exclude other’s?

Does p6 on general follow a predective question trend eg if one specific topic was examined in March 16 it’s unlikely to come up in June
Or is it like p4 and p5 where questions are very unpredictable
    Thanks

The syllabus is huge and some parts are very technical. If you can watch video lectures with the technical parts that will make home studying easier.

The topics that come up the most are: CT, groups, IT, IHT, CGT reliefs.

There’s lots of rote learning to be done for the conditions and rules, so if you’re good at that it will help. It’s examined in more of a discursive type manner than F6, essentially it’s how P2 is in comparison to F7.

Have a look through the past papers, there’s some common themes, as previously stated. You could get lucky on the day and scrape 50%, if not, it will put you in a great position for September.

Just don’t plan doing anything other than studying between now and the exam.

Just started revising and syllabus just seems too overwhelming!
