1a was about loss relief. loss relief for sole traders in their first year of trading. They gave us his salaried income for 4 years and we had to use the losses in the first two years of his self employment in the most efficient way. The question wanted us to compare traditional carry back to carry back 4 four years FIFO basis.

2b – was this the one investment property one? can’t remember now!

I think this might be another question… I think it was talking about Rental income of which withholding tax has been deducted….in the country of farania ….,

I’m not sure which of the two

But for this …the calculation suppose to be

    Total rent (add back 30% withholding) 100/70 * 6537………..9338

    Less income tax
    Less dTR…30%

    Etc

I passed P6 on the second try but I always felt the examiner was unclear. Hated that exam, but a very useful string to have in your bow. Good luck all!

It was hard, I think the exam questions are changed and the examiners have other objectives than testing candidates knowledge on the subject. They just like to twist and turn the questions in an examinations where there is hardly time to read the whole question properly!!
