I left P5 and P6 to complete my ACCA.
However I am not sure which paper to go first as I understand that P6 syllabus will change every year.
Shall I take P6 in March 2017 or proceed with P5 first? If I am not mistaken, P6 syllabus is only up to September 2017, so it will be better to take P6 first in March 2017 right? In case I fail P6 in March 2017 (touchwood!), at least I have 2 more sittings to re-sit P6 (with the same syllabus).
Someone please advise if my understanding is correct hehe ^_^
THANKS!December 15, 2016 at 5:24 pm #363789Hi Girl Girl
It is advisable not to sit the P6 paper in March 17 as FA2016 comes into play from June 17 and not September 17 like you have mentioned.
Keep P5 for the March sitting. All the best.

April 3, 2017 at 8:03 am #379971Hi guys,
I’m sitting for P6 (MYS) variant paper this coming June. May I know what study text and materials do you guys used? I would really appreciate it if you can share some guidelines to me on how to prepare for this paper. As I’m self-studying, I’m totally clueless on how to get prepared for it =(
Thank you.
Best regards,
PeggyMay 2, 2017 at 2:17 pm #384569Hi All, Could someone tell me what is the incentives were questioned in question 1?
I have read the examiner article but i was so confused.
”The first part of this question required candidates, for six marks, to discuss the various tax incentives available to the business carried out by the company in question, under two possible ownership options. Candidates were then required in the second and third parts of the question to explain the treatment of unabsorbed losses, capital allowances and incentives under each option.” Please help me. - AuthorPosts
