Re-sitting p6 for the 4th time! I really thought I had it in Dec 2016 but nerves and stress got the better of me!
Can’t afford to do revision course again although I don’t know how else to get updated notes!
Anyone tell me where I can buy revision kits online?
Any info on major changes in finance act also I’d be eternally grateful!
Thanks
June 1, 2017 at 4:34 pm #389198I’m horrified at how hard it is to get Irish variant materials!! I cannot for love nor money buy the bpp book online – apparently they don’t cover ireland anymore. There are also no technical articles on acca.
How are we supposed to pass this exam????
I’m currently using a book called tax magic by Alan Moore and hoping to god it covers enough material.
Good luck Susieq!
June 4, 2017 at 4:55 pm #389783Don’t nearly all course providers use the Irish Tax institution books?
I would have a look at those and see what you think. I certainly wouldn’t be using a book called tax magic by some random geezer.
Chartered Accountant Ireland (ACA) also have Tax books for their courses. I think the FAE ones will be the equivalent of ACCA P6.
These are expensive as hell mind, but here you go https://www.charteredaccountants.ie/ProductCatalog/ProductCategory.aspx?ID=346

July 17, 2017 at 10:44 pm #397204Thanks Leanne the good luck worked passed it @ 51%!
Couldn’t be happier!
Ended up just using the past exam questions and answers I had from decembers sitting! Even though the were for 2014 finance act!
There should be more resources available for home study!
Good luck
