39%. π
I knew that I had messed up my timekeeping in this paper but that score was much worse than I expected.
Kicking myself as I really should have done the optional questions first.
I’m absolutely gutted as this was not only all that stood between myself and affiliate but also my STR which had been banked has now expired so membership is out of the window as I am not currently working with an ACCA approved employer so no hope on the PER front.
I sense a time for serious reflection as to how I now move forwards.February 8, 2013 at 11:42 am #116100Hi everybody! Congrats who passed! Please, advise me which exam to take P5 or P6? I have taken P5 two times and failed it twice. Now i’m confused and thinking of taking P6. This will be my last exam to take. Will very much appreciate any response π
February 8, 2013 at 12:17 pm #116140Failed P6 again. I wish I could get the exam script back and see what I did wrong.
I practiced quite a lot of questions before exam and thought I did them ok.Any advice how to pass this paper?

Something does not seem right. Nearly everyone who has posted here have got 60 and above, except for the few who failed. No one got below 60??? What happened to all those students who posted here in December stating that it was a disastrous paper? I gather many of those who actually failed have not bothered to post a comment or vote so far today. Clearly anyone who has passed wants to shout or cheer from the rooftops, which I understand. I feel sorry for hose who failed.
Anyway, congrats to all those who have passed P6. By the way, I also passed this exam, but I thought it was an ok exam anyway.
February 8, 2013 at 1:42 pm #116239P6 Fail 2nd time, Got 46 Don’t know where i am lacking, So downnnnn π
February 8, 2013 at 2:13 pm #116255Would be interesting to know how the guys with high marks prepared for the exam.
Opentuition does not support P6.
Were you self-studying or attended any tuition courses?I do not know what I am doing wrong with P6. Thinking about switiching to P7 or P4.

I got 86% and prepared with 150 hours if revision and did every question in the Kaplan exam kit and past papers twice. May seem like overkill but I gave up 3 months of my life and ill never have to do it again!
I would start now by setting aside 3 nights per week, use Kaplan text books and do a couple of chapters a night. Just read and test your understandings, this should take 3 weeks.
Then repeat. At the end of the chapter, do questions in the back this time. 4 weeks
Then hit the revision book once, referring to text book if required, 4 weeks
Then do again solo and any past exam questions, that should be enough π

I would suggest to stick to the time allocation and anything which makes marker’s life easier (nice presentation, bullet points as per marks allocation etc). It has worked for me and I am sure it’ll for you. Don’t give up and good luck next time!

Got 74% !
I found the exam really hard so this mark came as a surprise. Also passed P3 and P5 and now I am an affiliate! Absolutely over the moon!
Congratulations to others who passed and those who didn’t – don’t give up and best of luck for June 13.
