    Hi ,
I failed P5 with 45 %….so sad …anyone who passed can share with me how you pass it?

I strongly advise you to follow the advise from this links
    https://opentuition.com/topic/how-i-scored-81-marks-in-p5-in-dec-2012/
    https://www.pqaccountant.com/pmag-FFFF00500180006E02171957.html
In addition read all the P5 technical articles from the ACCA website. It is also vital that you do all the past exam questions especially those that have been set by Alex Watt. This will allow you to get a feel of his style of setting questions. Make sure that you also study all the examiners reports that have been published since Alex Watt took over. Good luck to all

I scored 55%. I give all the glory to god almighty…
Also a special thanks to opentution.com,
I downloaded p5 material from this website,,listened to your videos,,,went through question debriefs with the lecturer online, without using any additional resources and i passed on my third attempt of the paper. I had the previous two sitting with a tuition house, i paid heavily, yet i failed.
I still cant believe i got all the materials i got here free of charge….You guys are really doing great.I love the lecturer,,though i dont know his name,,yet he impacted on my timing and exam techniques positively.
I recommend this site to any student writing this paper,,,the lectures are well organised and understandable……I owe you open tuition…..God bless you all
I am so glad to become an acca affiliate.

passed on third attempt – 65%. i failed miserable the first 2 times. The best advice i can give ppl is to read the examiners comments and know inside out what he’s looking for when he’s asks you to evaluate/analyses/assess something. I hadnt done that the first two sittings and my result now speaks for its self, rote learning the syllabus will only get you so far, its crucial you know what hes asking in the requirements!

Finally an affiliate ! Thanks to opentuition,

I was hospitalised the day i was supposed to start my study leave and had major surgery the day before the exam,I had no time to go through the rev kit and everyone thought i was mad when i got up in the morning from the hospital bed on the 6th saying I was going to write my exams .
Long story short,I went to write with nothing but the resources and lectures from open tuition not to mention that i got very sick after the exams because of sitting for 3 hours and I only did 70% of the paper.Anyway it was all worth it, now I have made it a point to tell everyone about opentuition .Thanks a Million

Hello everyone! Congrats to those who have passed P5, and to those who didn’t, it’s OK. Paper P5 is an unbelievably difficult paper destined for potential management consultants, and if you pass it, you may even be in the running to try out for BCG or McKinsey if you so desire.

If you didn’t do well in P5, reassess your thinking if you really achieve the mind of a management consultant. To become one, you need to do lots of reading beyond the text book, and practice PYQs a lot (In my June 2012 sitting, I actually revise one question for five times!) Alex Watt desires his candidates to have a creative and free-flowing intellectual thinking, who are able to analyse the case scenario and are able to use the contextual models flexibly.
