Hi Chitalu
Because of copyright laws I cannot give you the one I downloaded. May I remind you that Emile wolfe was one of the best Acca publishers before some corprate failure. they are making a come back and that is why they are giving free text just for the december exams. The exact page is: https://emilewoolfpublishing.com/product.asp?pid=253&cs=46. copy this and paste in your url or click on the link to download any acca book you want. but you can only download one per acca student number. send me your email and w’ll chat.

October 20, 2010 at 12:35 pm #65033Hi catalina
Risk and uncertainty is something you need to know like a bacground info. which might help in the exams. It is all about decision making for the future.
RISK is a situation were there are possiblle options for the future , and the probabilities will be ging to get the EV(equivalent values)
Uncertainty is a situation were there is not enough info for you to make decision about the future. You would need to know when there is a Risk or Uncertain situation and what to do.
Check F5 video lessons or P5 revision videos on open tuition.

Hi Guys,
want to know how do I join the study group? Is there Chat room or real get togther where we meet and study togther,. Please let me know. One piece of advice, read the new examiner’s article and the sample question he produced. There are alot of clues of where he is going with the exam. One of it being, there be will less computational questions and more reasoning and application to secenarios.
ThanksNovember 11, 2010 at 11:47 am #65041AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

November 30, 2010 at 11:45 pm #65042Hi, P5 new examiner Alex Watt wrote in his article ‘Examiner’s Approach to Paper P5’ that this article will be supplemented by an example question which will appear in Student Accountant and on the ACCA website.
Could someone please help me to find this?

I think he will only have a sample question when there is a syllabus change.

Have taken 2 days off work before the exam to do some last minute revision, after yesterday’s exam (P6).. What topics will you cover in your last minute revision for P5??
Thanks!December 8, 2010 at 2:03 pm #65049AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

i am after exactly same answer : last minute revision!
I just spent all my time studying for audit, although I don’t find P5 particularly difficult, I realise the effort it needs to be given.BPP used to give *24 hour Questions* in their revision classes. Has anyone got this list for this semester?
from that list, if we are at least given the *MUST DO* question list, I will much appreciate.
best of luck everyone

Have you taken any time off work to revise? Am off tomorrow and Thursday, to try and whip myself into shape for the big show… elina_rodrigues@yahoo.co.uk on skype and yahoo messenger. Add me if you would like and we can get our heads together to try and get this out of the way… Anyone else who’d like to add me for revision, please do! Ta! 🙂

Hey Elina – thanks for that. Think I am using the same one then – on the cover “for exams in 2010”?
I am struggling on what to cover as the new examiner has stated less computation will be involved in his papers – not sure what he means by this!
I do not use skype or yahoo messenger though so cannot add you to these however I am also off work tomorrow before the exam & hoping to blitz the rest of the study, this is my last exam (and resit) and i am finding it difficult to get motivated!!
December 8, 2010 at 3:38 pm #65056Hey fmc123,
Same here, final push, has been very difficult to final much time due to restructuring etc at work. But eager to get this exam out of the way (have promised myself a fantastic holiday if I do!! 🙂
I think he means more analysis and advice, than lengthy computations, with most of the computations / ratios provided in the exam question itself. He published a sample question representative of his style at https://www.accaglobal.com/students/acca/exams/p5/past_papers (the second link on that page). If you use some other chat medium etc do let me know.
Just started communicating with someone else from this forum and I must say it is great for motivation/focus! 🙂 - AuthorPosts
