Hi Prince Acid.we did our mocks yesterday at school.i seemed to be very much prepared but there was a question on EVA that through me off.i was so surprised because i have always considered EVA questions to be manageable.i dont know whether i was just under a lot of time pressure.if i see this question in any paper i will let you know so that you go through it as EVA is also highly tipped to come.
Question 1 of our mock was on budgeted profit statement.i read in one of the books that the best way to answer such questions is to always do a proforma so that you dont leave out anything.this actually worked well for me and i think i performed better in this question.
A profit statement is there in the tips for june so we would do well to practice how to go about.
Lastly on my revision program ,the whole of last week i have been doing questions according to the areas of the syllabus.for example i went did some questions on divisional performance and TP then looked at questions on corporate failure then did stratergic planning ,current issues and so on.my program for this week is to do at least 5 past exam papers under timed conditions.I have to do the 3 mocks at back of BPP revision kit then also do the 2 papers under kaplan that is interim and final assesment papers (though the final is not posted yet).i will then go ahead and mark myself.whilst am doing this i will also be going through the Opentuition course notes,i always reserve them for the last week before exam because they are compressed and lot of workings too.they are actually help me as last minute revisions.
Do you have acces to the kaplan materials(this is done when you buy a new book from kaplan which has a passcode to their online materials).these materials contain online test and markings on each topic and also 1 interim and 1 final assesment exam.
Let me know how you have been doing your revisions ,i want to learn something.can others come on board and tell us their revisions as suggested by Acid.lets help one another and look forward to sharing good news on 23 August!

I only finished revision kit once this time , making a total of 11 times in 1 year and now I am doing the 2007 to 2009 past papers and reading parts of study texts like fitzgerald and moon models , non financial indicators etc.
EVA is quite easy and important too , I suggest you read the EVA technical articles by ACCA and do the question ALPHA DIVISION to get understanding of it. Its important.
