Hi
I am planning to do P3 with the two options. I will definitely study for P7 but I cannot decide whether I should do P4 or P6.
Any suggestion / advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Devina
Well I did P6, so I might be considered biased, but I watched my colleagues study for P4 and realised I tore out less hair than they did. P4 is good for learning the Financial Management function and in this changing world chartered accountants are becoming more involved in financial management decisions. P6 is more for those seeking to become tax professionals. Depending on your course in life, one may serve more purpose than the other. My advice though is to do the one which can get you qualified faster.
I found p4 much more difficult than p6. But then I found F6 tax easier than F9 financial management. A lot more overlaps on the taxation papers.
It really depends on whether you enjoy taxation or financial management more. From my own experience P4 is definitely harder to study.
Thank you Alkemist and Frankw01.
I’ll go for P6 then….
