Hi,
I have a dilemma of whether to take P4. I will definitely be taking P5 but I have a problem with P4. I have not taken F9 as I was exempt and was thinking to take P7 as I have undertaken F8 and P2 recently. I work in industry as a Finance Analyst so I know P4 will be of more relevance but having little knowledge on it I know I will struggle a lot. Please advise what your opinion is on taking P7 instead of P4 even though I am not an auditor?
P4 would seem more sensible because of your work (P7 is not an easy exam either – how did you find F8?).
It is difficult to advise because presumably you did cover the F9 topics at university in order to become exempt (and some aspects of your work are likely to be relevant).
If you do decide to take P4, then I would suggest that you went through the F9 lectures here first, as revision (all except the lectures on the management of working capital).
I only passed Audit and Corporate reporting by 50% – maybe suggesting I may struggle with P7. I think I may choose P4 for the next sitting and take your advice on watching lectures on F9. Thanks
