    CONGRATS!!!!

I guess interest in the subject contributes a lot to marks scoring, it does not means that the ones who could not get thru the subject are not interested to that extent as the one who have passed this paper.

But, one thing is for define that the ones who score high marks have got a unique approach for tackling this exam.

Be it the technique to attempt the paper or the way they study the materials along with other stuff they read than books that are relevant to this subject.

So, why not share the secret for benefit of others.

Don’t worry as much about what you’ve studied as what the questions are asking you. For this paper, couldn’t use much of what I’d studied beforehand so just have to adapt to the paper and use common sense. Also don’t be concerned with small parts. I had no idea what a dark pool trading system is or the asset securitization and much others. Just write 2 or 3 sentences and move on. and for the easy questions, for example the last question in this exam about the company setting up in a new country, just write as many points as possible. Unbelievable easy to get full marks on a question like this with just common sense (if your answer makes any sense in relation to the scenario you will be given marks, doesnt matter how many “important” points you leave out, theres no set answer, any relevant points will be given marks), so make sure to take advantage of these questions. Just know the few formulas like Black scholes and a bit of general knowledge about the subject. This like most ACCA exams can be passed with common sense. ACCA affiliate now after 9 exams( exempt from 5). Got 61 in P4 and averaged 65 across the 9 exams, no repeats. Any question let me know.

And one other point, posting in Caps your high mark with a boastful comment is a bit of an inconsiderate thing to do when theres obviously others who have just been majorly disappointed. Again common sense will help you with things like this.

I doubt if common sense and a bit of general knowledge is ever enough to pass any ACCA exam. In P4 there are quite a few technical parts. Personally I’m struggling with time management and therefore failed again. I think confidence does help but as the examiner said students need to have knowledge of the entire syllabus as you just don’t know what’s going to come up.
I’ve tried focusing only on the key areas, it didn’t work for me…
my new strategy is to practise exam style questions under timed conditions, hope this is going to help me pass
