    Dear Sir,

I have attempted P3 exams several times now (last sitting is Sept 2016) and I still think I will fail this exam due to poor exam technique/approach. I am now thinking of moving to the option papers (specifically P5 – requirement from my current employer) instead of continuing to struggle with P3. Will it be a wiser decision? If yes, what will be the best approach to pass this paper first time?

    Thank you

The pass rate for P3 is about 50%, but only around 30% for P5. My advice would be to stick with P3.

If you intend to study P5, the approach is the same as with all papers: learn the theory and practise questions. Carefully analyse what is said in the model answer to see how it relates to the question requirements and the information in the question.
