    the exam was ok
but for the first time I surprised that the exam start time was 11:00 AM (at Egypt)
although it known (the last years) & supposed at 12:00 as usual
so I surprised & start the exam at 11:35 AM (35 minutes later)
so I didn’t find the time to do well
    anyway may Allah save us
    🙁

This is my 3rd sat (last two failed by few marks), I think this P3 exam was not following the pervious pattern papers, there had almost no number involved in all questions and the most trouble was the Q1 that was far too long and very difficult to understand the scenario and the given implications, therefore very hard to give some suggestions or advise. P3 is a practical exam, which should be testing analytical skill and practical skill i.e CFO or financial control give advise to the broad, unfortunately, this did not happen in this diet, very disappointed.

Q1 was a rehash of Q1 from Dec 2008. If you look at that question the second part uses the cultural web framework and the third part is about lenses. It’s even the same type of scenario. Dec 2008 had professors at a museum while June 2013 had doctors at a hospital.

Q2 was porters five forces. I think I might have misread the 120 billion thing but it didn’t affect most of my analysis. I suggested that nesta had greater margins due to their competencies and could afford to take a cost leadership position and charge less than a dollar to compete.

For scenarios I wrote about csf factors, decision trees and sensitivity analysis. Also wrote about flaws with using them. I think part was more of a book knowledge question.

Q3 I said keep the legal stuff outsourced but check they were getting the best deal. Didn’t think legal was really their core competencies. Outsource the payroll but check for an off the shelf package first just in case one is available. Kept the tracking system in house as they had expertise and it was a necessity to retain business.

CRM I wrote what little I could and hoped for the best.

I ignored question 4 as I thought I could answer two and three better.

First time trying this and felt quite good about it. They could have asked about some other parts of the syllabus that I think I would have struggled with.
