    Hi,

Does anyone else have difficulty in translating the requirement of questions. Every time I look at the questions on the P3 final assessment I feel lost. I have always struggled with ‘wordy’ exams at ‘F’ level, but really panicking about the ‘P’ level exams.

Does anyone have any advice/tips that will help me identify what it is that the examiner really wants?

On the final assessment, in particular, Q3 part (b) – I have no idea what on earth to write for 11 marks.

    Hi Lorraine

I am no expert, still to sit the P papers, but I have been getting some tuition which has really helped me to clarify my approach which I will share with you, it may or may not help.

So reading the question…tip…the answer is normally in the question!

You would be looking for say three lines per mark. Make it easy for the examiner. Example question. Evaluate the internal and external strategic position. So that’s a reference to the question “Company x was successful during the three years because of the great advertising” (then add your bit) “because Porters Value chain identifies Marketing as a primary activity, and this shows that Company X has a strong approach offering value to the company” Or something like that.

Go through the paper in reading time with a highlighter. Pick out all points transfer them to your answer. But remember the question details will always show a company that has problems! there will likely be all the problems you can think of, PESTLE.

Like I say, I am not an expert but I am using two different tuition providers, both saying the same, so it must work!

    Good luck 🙂
