February 9, 2013 at 7:52 am #116481Passed with 52% phew, was a very time pressured paper, fair but time pressure was the main challenge I felt.
For those that didn’t pass, P3 is a great paper well worth getting to know more and applying correct exam technique.
Don’t forget that the amount of knowledge is approx 20 – 30% and the application is the rest.
February 9, 2013 at 7:58 am #116627passed with a 50,second attempt

aahhhhhhhhh
just got 50
but i was expecting the worst coz i only attempted 70% of the papers
thx OT for ur helpI am surprised how markers can pass students who didn’t even bother to complete the number of questions required at first place! Once again it creates many questions on the way our papers are being marked and on the fairness of the entire marking process.

The trick is simple, u read analysis of any company’s financial statements by a professional. U just need to pick some fancy professional words, he used. Now use them in the exam accordingly the ratios. Secondly learn all the models, try to apply a suitable model n base ur answer on that. I hope this will cover the professional marks. A model can be applied in most p3 questions. Further when using one model in a question, if u see a relation with any component of any other model, mention it in just one sentence not more otherwise it may become a mix up bw both models. That was my approach. Sad to hear you have gone three unsuccessful tries. I wish u good luck for next time. Further most likely u will already know this. Take a proper stopwatch with u n time each part of each question at 1.6 minutes per 1 mark not 1.8minutes though. N set the time running on every part n so try to complete exam 100%. Hope it helps πFebruary 10, 2013 at 12:00 pm #117023June 2012 46%
