    Hello,

I’m taking the P3 exam in September and I am already studying using the most recent Kaplan study text. I’m just wondering if there’s any other (small) textbooks / case study texts that would help in my studies? I’m going on holiday in just under 2 weeks and can’t fit the large Kaplan textbook in my holdall bag but would like to bring a lighter book with me!

    Thanks

This is exam is maybe 20% knowledge and 80% application so there is an argument that you don’t even need a text book. Forget it and just focus on practicing questions.

I summed up all the knowledge needed in 20 pages on a word document, that’s how little there is to rote learn. Is all about analysing the scenario in the question. You will only get the real skill needed by practising past exam papers.

In fact, as somebody once suggested on this forum before, reasing the technical articles on the website is good enough to get all the base knowledge you need.

P3 exam is about common business sense, so no books are needed whatsoever. Trust me, OT notes + exam practicing + revision kit is all you need. If you want to go really hard on this subject, subscribe to “Financial Times” student version in pdf for someting like 120 pounds per year… this is a fantastic source of info for P3.

One of the very few times I’ve given advise here on OT. I wish you all the best.
