Sir,
If question asking macro-economic, candidates should use PESTEL framework to answering right?

There is a question in yesterday paper asking to analysis COMPETITION, it should use either 5 forces or diamond?
If I did not used any framework to answer the question will it fail me?

5 forces would be the most useful, but you can analyse competition without that eg perfect/monopoly weak/powerful.
