    Hi,

    I passed P3 & P5 today! (woohoo)

That means I now only have 2 exams left – P2 plus 1 other option paper.. I’m thinking P7.

How much of P2 knowledge is required for the P7 paper?

I wanted to sit P7 in March but I’ve been advised that I need to really do P2 alongside P7 or before it. What are your views on this?

I would ideally like to sit both exams by June latest….

“How much of P2 knowledge is required for the P7 paper?” I can see that it would be tricky to pass P7 without quite good knowledge of IASs and IFRSs

Why not check out some recent P7 papers from ACCA website and judge for yourself?

I can see advantages in taking both together – as you wade through P2 stuff you can break it up by continually asking yourself how these points could be brought in to an auditing answer

    Maybe leave both until June?

Otherwise, P2 in March and P7 in June

I don’t think I’ll be ready to attempt P2 in march. I’ll try both in June!. Thanks

Would you recommend any specific sites to use which would help in learning the standards. I have already started going through study texts…

I find the Deloitte site IASPLUS to be very instructive
