June 4, 2018 at 6:34 pm #456142Are you ready for the allnighter guys?!!
June 4, 2018 at 6:42 pm #456144Not me I am a “mature” student who needs lots of sleep. ?
June 4, 2018 at 6:44 pm #456146Not a chance of an all nighter. I’ll be gubbed by 10 bells.
June 4, 2018 at 6:45 pm #456147Not literally ALLnighter 🙂 There should be at least 4 hours of sleep.
June 4, 2018 at 6:50 pm #456148Ok so this is what I think will come up.
Ifrs 13 – of course!
Ethics – of course
Ifrs leases – hate it ?
Financial instruments -sucks!
Cash flow. With all the delights that brings.June 4, 2018 at 7:11 pm #456156@exams4fun said:

Cash flow. With all the delights that brings.Haha 😉 All the beauties! I am just going through Chris’s notes and lectures in the hope that I will remember something for the discursive questions.
June 4, 2018 at 7:38 pm #456162All nighter? If you need to pull an all nighter at this point you’ve done something seriously wrong. Get a good night’s sleep, cramming won’t help you now!
June 4, 2018 at 10:47 pm #456212From my experience though, cramming is often very helpful in terms of your exam results. At least it worked for me a few times. The problem is, it does harm to your health but so does studying ACCA as a whole, especially if you have a full time job and some responsibilities at home.
June 5, 2018 at 1:30 am #456225Financial instruments, lease, employee benefit, share base payment: I have nothing in my mind when read the question related to above standards :((
June 5, 2018 at 5:10 pm #456528Well that was rubbish (my performance) not the exam.
Damn i am too old for this. 🙁
June 5, 2018 at 5:17 pm #456542Hi Ruth, My sentiments exactly! I’ll start preparing for Strategic Business Reporting when Opentuition releases the notes and videos. In the meantime I am going to enjoy the British Summer (what’s left of it, that is !). 🙂
June 5, 2018 at 6:14 pm #456579The weather has been fab hasnt it. I went out for a bit of a walk and tried not to think about it all.
Its hard when you work for so long and so hard to find that you simply cant scrape out a simple 50.
Good luck with your results 🙂
June 5, 2018 at 8:03 pm #456620Don’t know what else to add really. I has the knowledge floating about for most questions, but struggled to put anything constructive together.
Agree with performance, more frustrated after the exam as it was me rather than the exam itself. My head was just not working, possibly the build of all the crap in my head.June 6, 2018 at 8:09 am #456759How did everyone do? Looking back I realised I did some silly mistakes, hopefully won’t cost me a lot, did anyone pick q3? How did you treat the cost to adapt the product and the provision?

So glad that Q1a was a SoFP – and they made it as easy as possible in terms of the % holding. Couldn’t deal with the financial instrument and the 10% disposal through the share swap threw me as well. I was struggling with 1b as I hadn’t read the supplement for the UK paper. 1c was ok I think.
Knew I was going to seriously struggle with Q2 and 4 so went to 3. Struggled with 3a but did put something down – managed to write something for b & c but tbh no idea if it was relevant.
Ended up plumping for Q4 as Q2 had another element from the UK supplement. Wrote a couple of lines for Part Ai, nothing for Aii. Did put something down for part B but again pretty sure it was just waffle.
No chance of reaching 50% as I missed too much out and probably wrote non-relevant info for the questions I did answer.
