February 13, 2013 at 3:32 pm #117782i failed which was a bit of surprise to me. I guess i don’t know where i went wrong for the exception that i didn’t manage my time properly. i had the information for the last question. 43 % Time management would have given me a pass.

Passed P2 with 50, God bless me, I was not confident to pass. I took 3 examination in this time ( P1, P2, P5). The result P5: 55, P2: 50 and P1: 39 were not so bad. P1 fail because I only had 1 days to study, I was not estimate enough time to study 3 paper in one time. I do self study. I have 2 papers left P1 and option paper ( p4 or p6). could you pls advise which paper should be taken?
Thanks a lot for OP.

P2 requires a lot of time, sound understanding of standards, time management and a positive attitude. Try and get the most out of the consolidation question as they are the easiest 35 marks in the paper. If you complete that one on time, the rest becomes easier. For the rest of the paper, I feel the examiner is looking forward to an “appropriate” answer rather than a “correct” one. Relevant discussions are given credit even if they are not correct to some extent. Your focus should be on the whole syllabus rather than picking out portions of it. Prepare summaries of the difficult standards (like IAS-12, IFRS-9 etc) so that you are able to revise them quickly as they tend to fade away as you dive into this large syllabus. DO NOT PANIC in the exam. No matter how well you prepare yourself , only your exam performance counts. Do not be baffled by the scenarios in the paper, more likely others are going to find it difficult aswell. A more positive approach will work wonders for you 🙂
P1 was personally my least favourite paper. So am not the right person to comment on that 😛

I made a very silly mistake in P2 exam with Q1. I did the group structure of Q1 totally wrong. Luckily I passed P2 with 51%. All my hard work were paid off. I am pleased with the result.

Hi Everyone, i stopped doing my ACCA exams in December 2006, i was tired and fed up after starting off my first sitting in December 2002. Last year i was motivated after a number of jobs i was qualified to do but just didnt have the papers to get the job. I will be honest but i only used LSBF videos that i found on piratebay and Opentution and i was able to complete my final 3 papers. I sat for P1 and P2 in December and got 53% and 51% respectively. I am now over the line and can say i couldnt have done it without open tution. Keep the hustle going for all those who have not crossed the line.
