Hi,
I’ve become lost in the world of P2, nothing is going into my head, I’m getting completely stuck on the consolidations and goodwill calculations when looking at the more complex structures. I can’t grasp the right strategy to study this topic in a SMART manner.
I think I am panicking before the exam, only one month left but no idea how to progress – i’ve hit a brick wall (and it hurts :-/)
May 8, 2014 at 4:50 pm #167948Hmm, I know the feeling. Think in these terms – there’s no need to get depressed just because I can’t get the exam answers correct. There are many “easy” marks available in the exam questions.
Make sure that, in an exam situation, you really do attempt every part of the 3 questions that you choose to attack
Time allocation and strict self-discipline should ensure that every part of all 3 questions is properly attempted
And don’t EVER give up.
Do you think you are alone in this World of P2 students that has hit a brick wall? Are you the first? Err, no, not by a long way and you certainly won’t be the last. P2 is HARD in capital, bold letters, italicised and underlined. It is a tough exam
But there are all those easy marks to gather.
Hope that helps! 🙂
May 10, 2014 at 8:17 pm #168259Hi
I feel like that with most exams until i take a step back (probably have a cry and a i will never do this moment) but then I make a plan. I felt the same as you with the first question but from the BPP book they have some preparation questions for different scenarios eg art disposal- foreign exchange etc…. if you have a BPP book start with those and write out notes on each one.
It helped me loads and now i am onto past exam questions still not 100% but the logic is there its just practice for me now!!
Good luck!!
