I have just started looking at P2 via the open tuition videos, in anicipation of positive results following Junes session. I have heard the paper is a bit of a bitch, so want to get started asap to give myself more time for December. Once i have been through the tuition videos, ill use a text and question kit to revise it all

What is the best way to tackle this paper? Any key areas to get under my belt? Any tips?

Well, Practice PRactice is the best tip for P2.

The paper is a piece of cake if you understand the standards and get a griping of group accounting.

You can check out this Facebook page on materials for you P2. I hope it helps you out.

Make sure you give atleast 2 months of your time on IFRS/IAS and one month is mostly enough for Group Accounting. Thats my opinion.

You have made a wise decision to start this early.

    Ash

    Revise F7 first… like IAS 12,33,40,16, IFRS 9(IAS 32, 39) etc..
these all standards are in P2 but with some advancement..
make sure you know all IASs with F7 knowledge on finger tips!

The video lecture you listen on OT then go for practice of that topic from TEXT (examples given in book).. then go for revision kit and finally Past papers!

remember as you do practice with concepts it will be worth making .. blind practice will not be useful!

    Good Luck

    Regards
