August 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm #268352Hey,
I did P7 and P1 together with P4 as well. I found P7 quite interesting but P1 was boring as hell! It is a good combination as I applied my P7 knowledge to some audit committee question in P1.
If you think you can manage 2 theoretical papers together, it would be good. I had one week’s time after P7, not so much for you now that the timetable has changed.
Good Luck!

Post again if you need any help. Best wishes for you too!
August 25, 2015 at 9:22 am #268441If I can just add a little bit – this is a very good combination to be honest because you are doing P7 immediately after P2 so your knowledge about IAS, IFRS should be fresh and it is absolutely vital to have sound understanding of accounting standards in P7. If you are able to present this understanding to P7 marker you are THAT much closer to pass this exam.
For P7 I have studied more accounting standards than auditing standards !
In P7 there is usually one question about ethics altough the scenario context is different than in P1 but principles of ethics apply to both.
All in all P1 is considered to be a subject with narrow syllabus and the easiest paper to pass from all Professionals. I would treat P7 as priority.
