Hi, friends i am appearing for the a first time for P1 n i havnt opened its book yet..i need to know the nature of this paper and the topics which are assessed in this paper which you can say are core or hot topics.
Which topics shud i focus and which ones shud i leave? like in F8 CG is not tested so i didnt study it all. Kindly, tell me the way i will b able to complete ma prep in 1month.
Like paper F7 is it predictable? i really need sumone to answer this as i hav really less time so i dont spend trime on unwantd stuff in books and on OT… and the if the person commenting also knows about P3 so the same things i wana kno about P3 aswell..
yOur advises and replies will b appreciated.
THanx in advanceOctober 23, 2010 at 3:49 pm #69628Why not look at the revision kit, see the questions from there which have been asked, and read those. then make up your own mind about predictability.
If someone tells you it’s predictable, and it turns out not to be as predicted, then whose fault will it be if you fail?
Check out the past exams – there are only 6 of them and a pilot paper
October 24, 2010 at 3:12 pm #69629Thnx Wetry for your response….it meanx i am suppose to do everythin in da book..but i wantd to kno the way i shud tackle P1 is it gona b difficult than the F series pprs? if there are any different ways to pass it?
October 25, 2010 at 10:29 am #69631Being a professional paper, it requires you to have more knowledge than mere facts from the text. My best advice would be to do all the revision kit questions atleast once or twice…they cover a wide range of scenarios and will help you to get some ideas and points during your 3 hr exam. Also DO NOT forget to work on the 50 mark questions….usually they try to cover quite a few areas within one question, hence knowledge of vital areas is a must to score on them…..an do write and practise the 50 mark ones….u definitely need to do that to work on your speed level….
The point is you will noe be able to just rely on the notes….it is vital that you know how to relate to the given scenario in the question….you might be able to give generic answers to the questions, but what will fetch you marks is based on how you link the scenario with the theory you know…so try to finish up with the theory soon and practice a lot…
hope this helps….
GOOD LUCK!!!
