    Hello.

I am currently studying P1 using the Opentuition platform as well as the Kaplan Official CIMA Text.

I’ve noticed that the Kaplan text goes into deeper layers of complexity on certain topics, where Opentuition seem to only cover very Basic Principles (A simple example would be accounting for over/under absorption when using absorption costing, not covered by Opentuition).

My question is: Can I be reasonably confidant in passing the exam if I had a comprehensive understanding of everything covered in the Opentuition notes? Do we need the extra details covered by Kaplan?

    Thank you.

Hi, The notes are only intended to be revision notes – you need to watch the lectures for the detail.
    Many Thanks
    Cath
