February 11, 2013 at 8:47 am #117254Fail – but not surprised when half the text was missing on the third question in the exam paper and the invigilator took ages getting me a new exam paper………. I then had to re read the scenario and the requirement again !! such a waste of time which could have been put to good use !!

To Jocain1 and Malithrox, congratulations to you guys and to everyone who passed p1. I commiserate to those who falied it. Me too failed it at 46%.
I thought I was well prepared and did quite well, but this is the reality. Its my first time of sitting an ACCA exam and don’t know how to go about revising. I got exemptions for my Accounting degree at uni. I used the LSBF textbook and revision kits mainly and looked at some past papers to prepare for the exam.
Do you think this is enough or is there something I am missing?
Also just to add, I also did the Auditing paper and passed with a score of 54%, but again I thought I blasted it. Please I need help in knowing which is the best textbooks to use, and what revision technique to apply. I don’t attend any college.
Thanks.
February 13, 2013 at 1:47 pm #117765I passed this with 56%. I did home study using OpenTuition notes and also viewed alot of the lectures on Youtube from LSBF etc, who give some excellent tips on how to answer the questions. To anyone who has not seen these and failed, you have to view them.
February 13, 2013 at 8:47 pm #117799passed P1 with 51%.
February 13, 2013 at 9:29 pm #117801I scored 81 and I am grateful to God, Mike Little and Opentuition.

Kokkosun -Same thing happen to me.
My P1 is failed with 44. But I spent lots of time on it this time. I really don’t know why i failed. I went to p1 lecture and remembered all the things, I got 44! I have well prepared since my first lecture. I have attempted all question very well but failed. I want to know how they mark my answer script. Even though we submit for admin reveiw, ACCA would not reveal how they mark on my script. From our students point of view,What should we do for our motivation and reliablity on ACCA for future studying.February 14, 2013 at 12:00 pm #117847Anonymous

I got exactly the same your feelings, I finished all question, 99% surely I will pass, but in fact, i failed, so bad feelings now</blo@carl29 said:
Im thinkig about fighting my mark, I remember reading last session that a student was contacted a few weeks after the results to be told he had not actually failed, he had passed his exam, there had been an error in his markingWhen I have failed in the past, I would normally take it on the chin and prepare better next time, but I was so sure this time, I knew those answers and wrote confident responses, I cant believe my mark, its bugging me considerably
I have same feeling with you.
I want to know the marking error is informed after the admin review or before not sumitting for review?????February 16, 2013 at 5:28 pm #118014for June 12 exam, i got 43 without harder study while answering two third of a 25 marks question because of time constraints, but for Dec 12 exams, with harder study, practising lots of questions and listening to becker/ acca videos p1 lectures, answering all questions and while i have the feeling to obtain the least 50 marks pass, surprisingly i failed at 27 marks.
Please advise me should i pay for the administrative review and how to pass the exam? - AuthorPosts
