    Hi,

if you can’t get a newer text then for P1 you should be fine .

Do get as new a kit as you can. Also get all the articles from the ACCA website to see if there any changes to the syllabus etc

Get the opentuition notes as well, then you should be ok for the exam.

    Good luck

I think 07 / 08 is going to be too old! the exam was brand new back then and there have been a number of articles by David Campbell – even covering some topics not in the study texts – published in Student Accountant.

The OT course notes and audio lectures could help you as well as working through an UP-TO-DATE revision kit

If you do use the 07/08 book make sure you read through all the P1 articles on the ACCA website and attempt all past papers (including reading the examiners answer, the marking scheme and the examiners reports). A lot have chages to the BPP manuals are reacting to past papers, i.e. if there is a question in the exam BPP will include something on this in their next edition.

Saying all that you would still be better getting a newer edition.
