Okay so Im not sure where exactly to put this so thats why I`m asking it on here.I wanted to know, what accountancy qualification is more desirable to have between CIMA and ACCA and also where each would be more relevant.
I`d suggest you have a forum open for when we could get general advice.
Yes we could ask this in the general forum for students but it would obviously be much more beneficial to get this advice from someone who is experienced in the profession.I`d also suggest maybe writing an article specifically about CIMA and ACCA discussing all the differences between them like which one is more widely recognised, what course would suite our respective career paths etc.
An extensive article covering all that would be hugely beneficial for everyone

Also, I know that there are articles elsewhere on the net which I have read.
However I do see you and the tutors on OpenTuition as my tutors and hence have a higher degree of trust and respect for your opinions.
CIMA and ACCA are both of the same level technically.
As to which is better (in the sense of career paths) it depends very much on the country and on what sort of career you want.
ACCA is more geared towards financial accountants, whereas CIMA is more geared towards management accountants.
As to which is more widely recognised, again it depends on the country. At the moment probably more countries have heard of the ACCA, but CIMA is catching up 🙂

Even though I can afford college and even though the prices at my college are relatively low I appreciate your initiative so much.Thanks once again and you can be sure I`ll be popping up on your forums a lot more.
