I would like to ask the Open Tuition team what the options are for someone who does not use YouTube due to certain reasons in regard to viewing the video lectures?

Thanks for any response. I did post this before but did not really get a proper answer.

    There is no other option.

    What are your reasons?

if they are not available in your country – you can access YouTube with VPN

    Thank you for the reply.

It is because YouTube under Google censor conservative political views and until they change their policy it does not feel right to use their platform.

    I see

Well, you can watch lectures on this website and are not required to visit or install YouTube app

If you have strong views on something, good for you, but be ready to accept the consequences – and you can’t expect others to accommodate you.

    Sorry.

Okay thank you for understanding one way.

Perhaps in future OpenTuition could put videos directly yourselves onto the website, I believe some other learning providers like Learn Signal do. I say this because maybe other people also feel the same way about YouTube at the moment.

Thanks anyway, perhaps I will still use the notes from OpenTuition and donate.

We do not charge for anything, and one way to keep it free is YouTube.

You can use other providers – other providers charge for their services but we do not.

There is little point in using our lecture notes without watching the lectures, because they are only lecture notes – it is in the lectures that we work through the examples and explain and expand on the notes.
