Im planning to give p7 exam before p2 . I just want to know that without p2 would it be difficult to clear p7 as I have heard that some topics will overlap. Is it true …???
i don’t suggest to do p7 before p2. You will find P7 easier if equiped with P2 knowledge.
It’s possible to pass P7 before P2 but it will be harder to do so if you have not done P2 beforehand because good accounting knowledge is one of the many things required for P7 so you need to know the standards very well. You will not learn the standards in depth in any P7 course or textbook because the P2 materials will cover them in depth which you would be expected to have studied before P7.
Some knowledge from P1 is also carried forward.
My final recommendation is that you only do P7 first if you have a passion for auditing or if it is a subject that really interests you and you will enjoy studying most likely more than other subjects. Otherwise it will be harder than it needs to be.
My best recommendation is to do P2 the sitting before P7. This way your hard work from studying P2 will be brought fresh into your P7 studies and you can use the knowledge you gain of the standards in P2 to help you think of solutions in the P7 exam.
