    Hi all,

I did my CAT in 2003, so I was exempted from F1, F2 and F3 and proceed straight to part 2 of ACCA. Then after 2008 I completed the Professional Ethics Module. I received a certificate of completion only.(there was nothing written as Diploma)

I do see the FiP module in MyACCA.

As to what I understood. My sister who did the FIA…took all F1, 2 and 3 together with FiP. So, she got a Diploma which she printed from her MyACCA.

As for me, will I get a diploma cert after completing FiP module since my approach to ACCA was a different route.

Confused, really. Must I still complete the FiP module?
Will I get a cert after passing the module?

Thank you in advance to anyone that can reply me.

there are tow ethics module in your ACCA account:
1-Professional Ethics module:it has 10 stages.timer is not important.no mark as available…but in step 8 you should answer to 5 MCQs and if you get 16 or more you are allowed to go to the next step…if you dont get 16 you can try this step again and again until you get 16.if you finish it correctly, after 3 to 5 days it will be appeared in your acoount.

2-Foundations in Professionalism module:this has 8 steps.timer is not important.in the last step you should get at least 50 from the exam.if you fail it you can try it again and again until you pass it.there are 8 questions there.each question has 2 part:a-writing part:which is always constant.and b- mcq or something like this which are not the same.for passing this module you can copy and paste part a of those questions from below and you should answer to some part b questions correctly.if you failed repeat the test because part b changes and it may be easier(what happened to me in my second try)
if you finish it correctly, after 3 to 5 days it will be appeared in your acoount.
for writing questions you can use this(copy and paste them fully or part of them)

q1a-public interest:Qualified and trained to consistently high standards -Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge and competence -Acting diligently -Behaving with integrity and objectivity, and are ethical -Subject to independent regulation

q2a-Money laundering:‘the concealment or disguise of the true nature, source, location, disposition, movement, rights with respect to, or ownership of property, knowing that such property is derived from criminal activity or from an act of participation in such activity’.

q3a-insider trading:Insider trading is another form of corruption.
It is unfair on investors who do not have access to the information
It may deter investors from participating in the market at all, undermining the basic purpose of markets, which is to allow companies to raise capital
It may destabilise markets by encouraging the trading of stock based on rumours
It involves profiting from a breach of confidence, at the expense (at least partially) of people to whom the insider has a duty (such as their employer, and their employer’s shareholders)

q4a-Behaving legally is the minimum standard of behaviour expected of the ‘ethical’ accountant. Some behaviour, while legal, may still be regarded as ‘unethical’. Many aspects and decisions within accounting roles, at all levels, are not covered by the law. Therefore, in many different situations, the law is not sufficient to guide a professional’s behaviour, but a professional is also expected to behave in accordance with accepted professional principles.

    q5a-ethical threats:
Threats fall into one or more of the following categories:

    Self-interest
    Self-review
    Advocacy
    Familiarity
    Intimidation

Threats may be created by a range of circumstances. These circumstances can include relationships between various people such as the following:

    Colleagues
    Friends
    Managers
    Clients
    Former clients or colleagues
    Regulatory or legal agencies

q6a-An employee (either in practice or in business) should understand and comply with the procedures established by their employer. In addition, they have a personal responsibility with regard to their effectiveness within the organisation. These responsibilities include managing themselves and their own workload effectively, communicating and reporting appropriately and in some cases handling potential areas of conflict

q7a-Spreadsheets are versatile and powerful software tools. They can allow easy and accurate storage and processing of detailed numerical information, including a wide range of formulae, financial functions and chart functions which are most useful to financial and cost accountants.

q8a-When facing a difficult dilemma at work is it enough for a professional accountant to obey the law and adhere to fundamental principles of professional ethics?
Having a good knowledge of the law and applying fundamental principles of professional ethics may not in every instance provide sufficient guidance on what exactly to do. Personal values and personal integrity play a part in the process.
