operational strategies made on operational planning or strategic planning?
What is the difference between an ‘operational strategy’ and an ‘operational plan’?
operational plan- plans of daily operation in the organisation
operational strategy- decision which make at operational level
dunno whether i m correct.
Whenever the word ‘strategy’ is used think of long term. So strategic plan = long-term plan.
‘Operational strategy’ is a slightly unusual combination. It is normal to talk of planning at the strategic, tactical and operational levels. Operational level = day to day planning such as planning to make sure enough staff are present each day. However, you could talk about an operational strategy such as when you have a strategy to staff your operations by full-time employees or you could have a strategy to staff your operations entirely by sub-contractors.
Hope that helps. Don’t worry too much about these definitions.
