Hi tutor,
I am confused for the below matter and would like to request your help.
“If the total reportable segment revenue does not make up at least 75% external revenue then additional segment will need to be disclosed.” — from OpenTuition notes
“If the total external revenue reported by operating segments constitutes less than 75% of the entity’s revenue, additional operating segments must be identified as reportable segments until at least 75% of the entity’s revenue is included in reportable segments.” — from ifrsbox and iasplus
The two listed above are slightly different, may I know which is correct?
Thanks!
I can see what you mean.
The test is to ensure that 75% of external revenue has been reported. So we should really insert the word external in the first part of our sentence.
Ok, thanks!
My pleasure.
