    Dear Tutor,

When I received the e-mail from open tuition early today, regarding the release of June 2014 tips, I was very happy. I understand that you’ve predicted the F8 tips. However, just for clarity, which specific audit standards do you think can come up? ISA numbers? And which substantive tests, in particular, do you think will come up?

Last time, Dec 2013, the F8 tips were nearly all correct so I know that if I shall practice questions on the June 2014 tips I shall be safe!

We don’t try to predict auditing standards as that is too detailed and hit and miss.

Substantive tests would be in line with the prediction about a wages and salaries system ie substantive tests on that area.

It concerns me when you say “Last time, Dec 2013, the F8 tips were nearly all correct so I know that if I shall practice questions on the June 2014 tips I shall be safe!” There was a lot of luck in the tips, then and now. Practice a wider range of questions than suggested in the tips and perhaps concentrate on tip areas on on your last day.
