How calculate investor ratios :- share price, market capitalization, dividend per share and dividend yield?
Tq
Answers are listed under chapter 10 at the back of the notes. However, for Yr 1
Share price: Earnings after tax = 5,100; P/e = 17. Therefore market capitalisation = 17 x 5,100 = 86.70 and price per share = 86.70/9,000 = 9.63
Dividend per share is what it says: 2000/9000 = $0.2222
Dividend yield = 100 x dividend/share/market value per share = 100 x 0.2222/9.63 = 2.3%
