    Hi Aynsky

I had taken 2 papers in classroom mode and the next 2 papers I decided to take online with Kaplan called Live On Line (LoL). Please note the experience stated here are based on Kaplan LoL.

For me the online course mode was excellent and convenient as I work and have kids. With the classroom mode I had to , find someone to look after the kids, drive some miles to get to the physical classroom and pay for parking.

With LoL you can do this in the comfort of your home, it is as if you are in a real classroom. If you miss the class, you can watch it again, not sure if this is provided for real classroom modes. The lectures are loaded one day later and you can post/email questions and lecturers responds.

With the online, I think the shock for me was the Question Based Day (QBD). In a physical classroom you are timed per question, once the time is up for each question your papers get collected and marked. However with online you don’t have this so you have to be disciplined to do each question in the required time. So you are not shocked with the real timing on the actual exam day.

    Hope this helps.

I am also doing it online, this is the 3rd module I have done self study.

I am currently using Study Interactive through the LSFB and from first impressions the lecturer is very good and very motivational.

Overall the online stuff and books are very good quality and you can watch it any time on an ipad. Currently all the videos are up so if you are keen then you move at your own speed
