Hi there,
I hope to sit for the Sept 2018 F5 CBE and have been offered a BPP Study Text and Revision Kit by a fellow student.
These books are only valid for exams until Aug 2016. I checked the ACCA study guides for F5 and there don’t seem to have been any updates to the syllabus since then.
Would it be ok for me to use these books, or should I purchase the current editions?
June 7, 2018 at 5:09 pm #457571There haven’t been major syllabus changes. However just make sure that the questions are in the new format (section A MTQ’s; Section B 3 scenarios each with 5 MTQ’s, and Section C with 2 long-form questions).
If you are watching my free lectures then you do not really need a Study Text – the lectures are a complete free course and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.
However you choose to study, the Revision Kit is essential because practice is vital to passing the exam.June 8, 2018 at 2:37 pm #457812Thanks for clarifying, John.
Are you revising the lectures notes for the Sept and Dec 2018 exams? If so, when can we look forward to the revised notes becoming available?
June 8, 2018 at 4:15 pm #457832No – they were revised recently and they are all valid because the syllabus has not changed.
