Hi everyone,
Please help me whether mentor make the RAP fail if the number of word excess the limit. I am very worried about this.
ThanksSeptember 8, 2020 at 8:10 am #584007You can be failed if you exceed the word limit to the extent that your conclusions fall outside the 7,500 words allowed. This is because markers stop reading after 7,500 words and therefore effectively anyone in this position has not produced a relevant conclusion. Where most of the conclusions are before the 7,500 barrier then there may not be an issue -so 20 or 30 extra words are not critical.
Words in graphs are ignored but excessive use of tables pasted as images may be counted if the marker thinks they have been used to ‘get round’ the word count. The emphasis here Is ‘excessive’ and intent and purpose – small tables are not a problem but large frequent tables are -and most large tables belong in the appendix anyway.
I would however stop worrying if you submitted in P40 as there us nothing you can do at thus stage – just wait for the official result
