Hello Everyone,
I want to ask for advice on the topics for RAP Period 45 and 46. I wanted to do topic 13 from the information pack, but my mentor suggested it was difficult to make a 7,500 word research on that topic. So my mentor suggested topics 4 and 5. What do you guys think?
I would suggest that your mentor is looking for ‘easy life’ – nothing is easier that making all mentees do the same topic! (Or limiting the topics especially as 4 and 5 have a virtually identical approach)
Fine if YOU want to do Topic 4 or 5 but it is your project and therefore it should be YOUR choice. In fact I think you will find this is exactly what the University prescribes and the Information Pack stipulates i.e. you should be the one doing the choosing.
Also you are more likely to be motivated if doing a topic and organisation that interests you
As for not being able to write 7,500 words – the analysis and evaluation section is about 5,000 – 5,200 words (for every report regardless of topic). As long as you choose an appropriate company you are likely to find the opposite- that you struggle to stay within the word count!
