    @Stevis

    To be awarded the BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting you must:

    • Be eligible for the degree. This means you must be registered with Oxford
    Brookes University i.e. opted-in to the BSc degree scheme before passing
    any of the three ACCA Fundamentals papers, F7, F8 and F9

    • Pass the three ACCA Fundamentals papers F7, F8 and F9 and pass other
    papers as required to successfully complete all nine Fundamentals level
    papers at least two months prior to the start of the submission period in which
    the student is seeking to submit

    • Hold a recognized English language qualification certificate and transcript (if applicable), which must be submitted to and approved by ACCA, before passing any of papers F7, F8 or F9

    • Complete the ACCA Professional Ethics module by the published deadline before submitting a Research and Analysis Project to Oxford Brookes University (for deadlines see: https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/student/accaqual-student-journey/bsc-degree/rap-submission-dates.html)

    • Complete and pass the Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project. The degree must be completed within 10 years of your start date onto the ACCA’s
    professional qualification otherwise your eligibility will be withdrawn

    Anything else I can assist you.

    @fredlamwa

    If you have opted into OBU BSc Hons RAP program at time of registration then there is no registration required. You must meet eligibility criteria that is:

    Be registered with Oxford Brookes University i.e. you must opt-in to the BSc degree program before passing any of the three ACCA Fundamentals papers, F7, F8 and F9.

    Pass all nine fundamental papers of ACCA (or exempt from 1st 6 papers but attempt F7, F8 & F9) at least two months prior to the start of the submission period in which the student is seeking to submit.

    Hold a recognized English language qualification certificate and transcript (if applicable), which must be submitted to and approved by ACCA, before passing F7, F8 or F9

    Complete ACCA Professional Ethics Module according to the RAP submission dates.

    Complete, submit and pass Oxford Brookes University Research and Analysis Project (RAP).

    Complete the degree within 10 years of your initial registration into ACCA’s professional qualification. If you are unsure about your eligibility please email to acca@brookes.ac.uk.

    Hi, I did F8 in March too. How did you get on? I think you have to have known whether you have passed all of F1-F9 before you start the RAP. Please let me know if you received the same advice as myself?

    Thanks

    @michael

    Degree and a professional accounting qualification are a powerful combination of qualifications to have, putting you in demand with employers and increasing your career prospects.

    It is perfect opportunity to gain a relevant degree-level qualification to your chosen career path, develop skills that are not necessarily developed from taking the ACCA examinations alone, such as presentation and report writing skills, as well as being able to achieve a class of degree which reflect your previous efforts, time and studies towards the ACCA qualification. You will find the recognition for your ACCA examination results.

    After successful completion of degree, you can study for Masters degree or other professional qualifications such as CIMA, ACA, etc.

    According to recent research, graduate salaries for those working in the banking and finance sector are among the highest paying at an average of €35,000 per year.

    BSc Hons. in Applied Accounting is a strong degree which add significant value to ACCA qualification if you don’t have degree as many employers now require ACCA graduates especially in middle east which i have experienced and they emphasis that you complete your academic study before opting a professional qualification.

    I completed ACCA at age of 19 years along with high school and then i did not had degree so BSc Hons. helped me in completing my academic studies.

    Further, Research Analysis Project for this degree is a relaxed version of ICAEW ACA’s Case study exam which develop equal skills required for that exam except for time pressure.

    With this degree you may apply for masters in those universities which do not recognise professional qualifications. OBU degree also helps you in English language Exemption if you are required English language test for any purpose.

    Lastly, if you already have one bachelors then getting another with just one project and £200 is not a bad deal and adds significant value to your CV in my opinion.

    @asma88

    Hi, Asma,

    Hope you are well. Please read below eligibility criteria which do not allow you to submit RAP in session 32:

    You should Pass all nine fundamental papers of ACCA (or exempt from 1st 6 papers but attempt F7, F8 & F9) at least two months prior to the start of the submission period in which the student is seeking to submit. (Submission period starts at 1st May and previous 2 months are March and April, as you will be attempting exams in March, you will not be eligible and will have to submit in Period 33).

    https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/ACCA_Global/Students/bsc/IP2015-16.pdf

    Best of luck for your exams. I hope you will submit in period 33.

    Regards,
    Hammad Ahmed Qureshi – OBU Registered Mentor.

    If you are asking about value of BSc degree in the Middle East Job Market. I spent two years in Dubai. Employers are just happy to see your Graduate degree whatever you have either from Pakistan or UK. Actually you are getting BSC degree on the basis of ACCA by submitting thesis only. you are not eligible to get personal or academic reference. You should focus to achieve good average marks in ACCA ultimately it will be helpful to get higher class in BSC degree. Grade will be varied on your quality of the project.

    Yes you can submit and complete project after finishing your ACCA.

    Only limit is that it should be submitted within 10 years of joining ACCA.

    @vbase

    You can take preset but please read its requirements in info pack also.

    Further, you need to take another IELTS as it expired.

    You should take IELTS in academic model theere is no indication in their PDF, i will also recommend to confirm from their website.

    Hi.everyone,

    Im facing a problem in obu submission.
    When I log into OBU submission website, it shown “out of submission period”.
    I have no idea what it means here. and, actially I have ready my thesis to be submit for period 32.

    I am still within the 10year period, as seen in my ACCA student card, registration date is FEB 2007 (means expired in 2017).

    I have done the ethic module on January 2016 before deadline.

    I have completed my P7, P8 and P9 too.

    Can some one help and tell me what i have missed? or is that a technical issue?

    by the way, in MYACCA, im unable to open my status report, it always pop out an error page. I went to MYACCA and tried again, now I cannot click on “ethic and professionalism” neither. It appears empty page!

    I have email to ACCA, no respond from them yet.

    @quinnie – The P32 submission window does not open until 1st May. Until it opens then, you cannot submit. The message ‘out of submission period’ would seem to indicate that there is no submission period available (until 1 May) for you to submit in. You are probably not getting a reply from OBU as (a) they are extremely busy and (b) they assume that all students will have read the Information Pack and know the submission window is not open yet

    It has nothing to do whether you teacher submit your documents or not. Just email to ACCA and write details about your case. I had the same issue and their online operator told me that I did not submit English proficiency… So, send email to ACCA and solve your issue

    Tip: ACCA’s online operators know nothing :v not even the basics of anything.. i dont know on what bases that has been assigned for this job.. lolz
