I don’t live in the UK but I may wish to migrate in the future. If I complete the INT variants of SBR and AAA, and become an ACCA member. After which, I’d complete approximately 5 papers for ACA and become a member of ICAEW. Would this be a feasible route to take in the future if I wish to obtain the Practicing Certificate?
(I’d only do this though, if I wish to move to the UK)
July 17, 2024 at 11:55 am #708618You don’t need to be ICAEW to get a practing certificate in the UK – https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/member/sectors/smp/practising-certificates-and-licences.html
“To be eligible for a UK practising certificate and audit qualification you must pass the UK variants respectively of papers Corporate and Business Law (LW), Taxation (TX), Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) and Advanced Audit and Assurance (AAA).”
See here – as a member you can resit exams post-qualification – selecting different variant https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/help/membership-b.html
July 17, 2024 at 2:13 pm #708624If I give the English variants of TX where I live (the Caribbean), does it affect my employability.
I’m asking because many tutors only offer the English variant.
July 17, 2024 at 4:50 pm #708636In the UK – yes.
If there is no variant for where a student lives https://www.accaglobal.com/uk/en/qualifications/glance/acca/how/acca-qualification-applied-skills-exams/acca-qualification-corporate-business-law-exam.html, the choice is really between ENG and GLO – free resources for both are available in ACCA’s Study Hub and her https://opentuition.com/acca/lw
If you’re wanting tuition, you should go with what is available!
July 19, 2024 at 8:00 pm #708691I understand. Thank you.
