When we can calculated the tax amount payable we can deduct the amount of tax already suffered at source. What happens if we only suffered the dividend notional tax but applying it results in a repayment from HMRC. From the lectures it stated we can not get a repayment as dividends were not taxed to start off with but what do we do with the repayment figure? Hope that made sense!
