    Hi dear john sir:

sir plz guide me on the following question with explanation.it will be great help.

units manufactured are 8000 , normal loss is 15 % of input and abnormal gain is 3% of input. find input units?

I understand the working of normal and abnormal loss but here gain is problematic for me.

    waiting for your kind reply.

If the normal loss is 15% and there is an abnormal gain of 3%, then the actual loss is 12 %.

So for every 100 input, 12 are lost and 88 produced.

So the input is 100/88 x the number manufactured.
