    Hi, I’m confused about the difference between “efficient” and “effectiveness” when drawing up the answer.

    -> Efficient (impact?):
    -> Effectiveness (respond to the outcome?):

    Eg Good product quality of Co x showed that the efficient use of existing resources and which effectively respond to the markets needs.

    Any good example relates to illustration of performance management?

    3 E concept must be clearly differentiate.

    Economy
    Efficiency
    Effectiveness

    Difference of them, measures different stage of production in simple manner.

    INPUT – Economical Cost- Best cost possible,
    Process – Efficient Work – No delay or Idle time to drag the production
    OUTput – Effective Quality Control/ Customer Satifaction- Delivery on time or Resolve Defective ..

    Effective needs support from efficiency and economy to sustain business competitiveness, which response to market needs.

    I think you mixed up with the flow. but it can be reshuffle around. yet this is the basic understanding to avoid confusion based on manufacturing nature.

    I understand the problem – in many languages Efficiency and Effectiveness translate into the same word.

    Efficiency = resource utilisation (for example, in a hospital, the more patients per nurse then the more efficiently they are using their nurses)

    Effectiveness = quality (again, in a hospital, the more people who die, the worse the effectiveness)

    Effectiveness. You are looking at achieving the required objectives for example achieving the desired quality of goods.
    Effeciency is the relationship betwen the input and the output. That is making the most from the input (to get the maximum output). In this sense we are talking about ensuring no wastage of raw materials or idleness from staff
