to be more specific i wanted to know what we discuss with client post acceptance of a non audit assignment.i saw this question at the end of the article rest assured in SA .my idea is to talk about pre condition of an audit, engagement letter, vigillant on ethical requirements and any decision taken is the responsibility of management. im confused
Even BEFORE the acceptance of any assignment, audit or non-audit, it is necessary to agree with the client the scope, timing, responsibilities, fees, reasons for the job, people for whom the work is being prepared and to whom it will be shown.
In fact, the detailed terms of the non-audit engagement.
When agreed, an engagement letter is sent.
I don’t think you would be discussing ethical matters nor independence matters with the client.
