    Auditors can provide non-assurance services for listed entities ONLY if the service does not materialy relate to the financial statements, yes? assuming appropriate safeguards are in place to mitigate any ethical/professional threat.

    I see some marking schemes mention the above and some mentioning that non-assuruance services to listed entities are strictly PROHIBITED, so I am confused as what should I say in the exam if a ques relates to it ?

    Please help me out, please, I’m so confused here

    If you look in our notes I think it mentions that some NAS are strictly prohibited, because NO safeguards could reduce the threat(s) to an acceptable level. Some are permitted as long as not material to FS. There is such a range of services that there is no one rule to fit all.
