Hello,
I am new to SBR and i don’t know what kind of approach should I take for SBR exams?
I mean is this just knowing how to do calculations?
Can somebody shed some light on this matter?
Thank you
Take a look at the getting started resources here https://www.accaglobal.com/in/en/student/exam-support-resources/professional-exams-study-resources/strategic-business-reporting.html
A skim read of the syllabus or the 5 mins with the examining team video (linked to examining team guidance) will tell you that it is definitely not “just knowing how to do the calculations”.
Most of the requirements are “discuss”, “explain”, “advise”, etc (not “calculate”). In the last exam (D18), only 6 marks were directly allocated to a requirement for calculations – the rest for narrative (with supporting numbers, where relevant).
thank you.. this helps a lot
