    Hi,

I am preparing for the F2 through F5 papers this December.

If I book the paper based version of the exams, will they be identical to the new style specimen papers, or are they only available as CBE versions?

The paper based exams are the same style as the computer based exams.

It is only F1 to F4 exams that have computer versions, and there are specimen exams on the ACCA website for the paper based versions of these 4 papers as well.

    Hi John,

    Thanks for your response.

Just to clarify, will the December 2014 paper based exam of F4 consist of section A that comprises 25 objective test questions of 2 marks each, and 20 objective test questions of 1 mark each. Section B that comprises five 6 mark multi-task questions, and the December 2014 version exam of F5 consist of section A that comprises 20 multiple choice questions of 2 marks each. Section B that comprises three 10 mark questions and two 15 mark questions?

I’m deciding on what exam technique to use, and noticed that the past papers are vastly different compared to the potential new format I’ve seen for F4 and F5.

Yes – what you have written about the format is correct.

The format of all the exams from F4 to F9 has changed for December onwards.

Thank you very much for confirming the changes. The ACCA website isn’t always very clear about changes.

I didn’t realise that the other F papers had also been changed. I far prefer the new exam structure compared to the past papers.

Do you know when/if CBEs will be available for F5 to F9?

The ACCA has not announced yet when CBE will start for the other papers. I would guess that it will be in late 2015, or more likely 2016, but it is only my guess 🙂
